✨ Throwback Thursday | Women of QGC ✨
In 1950, Margaret Makin moved to Swan Island with her husband Jim, the club’s greenkeeper. She took up golf not long after — winning medals, scoring a hole-in-one, and showing her fierce love for the game. Margaret often said she “could think of no better way to go” than on the course she loved.
🌿 Women like Margaret have shaped QGC from the very beginning.
👉 Today, that legacy continues — with Barb Luppino as our Club Captain and Ladies Clinics every Thursday inspiring the next generation.
