Earlier this year, Andrew Batson (Batto) planted the idea of a golf event to raise funds towards much-needed equipment for the Club. Given Batto’s career with Stihl Australia and his passion for golf, the Committee saw it fitting to host an open 4-person Ambrose event on Friday, 25th October.
In his memory and to honour his role as the Queenscliff Golf Club Captain until his sudden passing in July, the event is called “Batto’s Bash“.
Brad Teal (OAM), Queenscliff Golf Club President, believes this event provides the ideal opportunity for Batto’s mates, from all the paths he travelled, to gather and celebrate the positivity and energy Batto brought to everything he did.
